Save up to $400 on Fujifilm Cameras and Lenses - Only 2 Days Left!

Hi ,

I hope you've been having a great summer so far. We're definitely in full swing now that July has started! I've got a full newsletter issue coming up in a week or so, but for now, I just wanted to send you a quick note before the weekend starts.

The current Fujifilm X Series rebates end tomorrow, so if you're thinking about buying some new Fuji glass or picking up either an X-T1 or X-T10 or a camera/lens bundle, now is definitely the time.

Almost all of the lenses are $200 off, and my favorite Fuji wide angle lens the XF14mm f/2.8 lens is currently $400 off. That's almost half price, which makes this by far the best deal going. The 14 is relatively lightweight and compact, and it's super sharp with almost no distortion.

I've shot so many of my favorite Fuji images with this lens, it's great for landscapes, travel, environmental portraits and accentuating very close subject matter against the background. I like using this technique quite a bit in my photography, because it helps tell the story of your scene.

These four photos below were made with the 14. Also, you can read my review of the XF14mm f/2.8 lens here.

You can get the rebates at your local Fujifilm dealer, but if you prefer to buy online, you can find them at B&H PhotoAmazon and Amazon UK.

Creativity is one of the most significant abilties we possess as human beings. It’s, by far, one of the most beneficial super powers we’ve gained from these big brains we lug around in our heads. This weird and phenomenal gift makes it so that we’re able to come with new ideas, concepts, and stuff that NEVER existed in the world before.

Whether it’s a simple sketch, a photograph, a story, a song or the blueprints for an invention or mindset that will change the world, each person’s unique personality type, cognitive process, history and physical skillset, all come together to form ideas that are entirely new to the world.

That, my fiends, is simply mind blowing.

So why is it so hard to be creative sometimes? It’s because we’re afraid of failure. We’re afraid that the product of our creative labors might suck. That other people might thing it’s stupid, or even worse, that WE might think it’s stupid.

I'm truly fascinated by the whole concept of creativity and I wrote about this topic as a blog post a few months ago. I realize I included a link to this post in your intro newsletter issue, but I wanted to make sure you actually got a chance to read it.

Check out the rest of my article, There is No Failure in Creativity and see my thoughts on how to approach getting around our fears of failure surrounding creativity. And remember to let yours flow freely as you head out to shoot this weekend, and in the rest of the summer. Creativity is far too important to let it be dampened by fear, but it's something that happens to all of us.

I hope you have a great weekend, and if you live in the USA, I'd like to wish you a happy Fourth of July! To my UK readers... no hard feelings. ;)
Dan Bailey
