Hi
,
This setting allows you to add either a warm or cool tone to your image when you're shooting in the ACROS and MONOCHROME Film Simulation. It's yet another arrow we have in our "creative quivers" that can help us further expand our creativity and style with the Fuji cameras.
Found in the IQ Menu, you can dial this adjustment up or down +/-9 steps to achieve a wide variety of looks.
As with many of the other Fujifilm camera features, you apply the tone right in-camera, rather than rely on processing or plugins. I love this approach, because it gives you another tool to help you "nail your shot in the moment," and create an image that reflects your experiences and creative ideas you had right there on location.
If you have an X-T3 or X-T30, I highly encourage you to play around with this setting and see what kind of unique looks you can come up with. If you have an older model and are thinking of upgrading, then the new B&W ADJ setting might give you one more reason to make the jump.
If you've use this setting, feel free to share one or two of your best shots, post them on Flickr or tag me on social media.
