I hope you're enjoying "X SERIES UNLIMITED" and finding it to be a helpful resource. As promised, your purchase includes free updates when I issue revisions to the book. That's the beauty of an eBook- I can keep it current when new models are introduced or when new features are added to the cameras with firmware updates.


So, to start the new year, I have released a brand new edition of the book. This brings it up to date with regards to the new X-E3 and the recent Nov. and Dec. firmware updates. (Firmware for the X100 models can be found here.)


In addition, I continue to make small refinements to the guide, fixing typos and correcting certain factual information as it pertains to specific X Series models. I want to make sure you have the most accurate guide possible and so I keep working to improve the overall readability of the guide.


Here are the Dropbox and Google Drive links where you can download the latest revision of X SERIES UNLIMITED. You can use either one. Inside the folders, you'll find an updated version of the main book file, as well as copies of the new pages have been added for reference. Just replace your current version of the main book with this new edition.

Here are the revision notes for the January 2018 edition:

1. X-E3: All relevant sections have been updated to reflect the capabilities and settings of the new X-E3 model. You'll find that many of the settings which apply to the X-T20 also apply to the X-E3. In addition, the X-E3 has some new touch gestures for the LCD screen.


2. NEW TOUCH SCREEN CONTROLS: With the X-E3, a new set of special touch screen gestures have been added to make up for the fact that it doesn't have the four THUMB PAD buttons. Some of these touch gestures have been added to the X-T20 in the latest firmware update.


3. "NUTS-AND-BOLTS" Chapter: I have renamed the original "Intro" section of the book. It's now called "THE IMPORTANT NUTS-AND-BOLTS STUFF" CHAPTER. There's a ton of very important stuff in the section that you should know, so I wanted to make sure it doesn't get glossed over, especially if you're new to the X Series camera system. This chapter will teach you more about how to use your Fuji camera than any other section in the book. ​​​​​​​If you have already read this section, I'd advise you to read it again. 


4. BLUETOOTH SETTINGS & IMAGE TRANSFER ORDER: The X-E3 can use either wireless or Bluetooth to transfer images from the camera to your mobile device. These new menu items cover the procedure for making this work.


5. PC CONNECTION MODE: X-T2 only. Formerly called PC SHOOT MODE, the name was changed in the recent v.3.00 firmware update. In addition to tethered shooting options, this menu as adds the use of Fuji's new RAW Conversion software for Mac and Windows, FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO. This new app allows you to use your camera's image processor to do your actual conversions. This menu item also allows you to backup and restore your X-T2 user settings. 


6. New HISTOGRAM Fn Button Option: ​​​​​​​Some models (X-T2, X-Pro2 and X-E3) now let you assign a Fn button to show an RGB Histogram and highlight warning during shooting mode.) This was added in the recent firmware update.


7. 4K VIDEO ADDED to the X-Pro2: The December v.4.00 firmware update added 4K Video capability to the X-Pro2. However, it does not have HDMI output, and can only save 4K video files to the memory card.
