Earlier this week, I posted a video tutorial about the AF-C Custom Settings Menu, which is found on nearly all of the Fujifilm X Series cameras.
This feature actually allows you to change how the camera sees and reacts to your scene, which fine optimizes its ability
to track moving subjects
, depending on what you're shooting.
In my comprehensive lesson, I show you how the system works, how to use this feature to best capture your subjects, and I also let you know which are my favorite AF-C custom settings presets.
The system itself is pretty complex, but the adjustment for you as the photographer is very easy. It's as simple as going into the menu and choosing between between one of five different settings. For even easier access, you can put this setting in your My Menu.
As an action and sports photographer, I find this to be incredibly useful tool for shooting any kind of fast moving subject, whether it's sports, action, wildlife, birds in flight, airplanes, races, etc. Once you learn what it does, I think you'll find it to be very useful as well.
