Trying to photograph moving subjects is one of the hardest things to do with your camera. Making sure you nail them with sharp focus is even harder.
In this email. I'm going to give you a fundamental tip that can help make it easier to nail focus on those fast-moving, hard-to-get scenes,
whether you're shooting action, sports, people, kids, pets, animals birds, or whatever.
Shooting Wide Angle is WAY Easier than Telephoto
Telephoto action shots can be really cool.
There's no question about it. Capturing your subject with a long lens against a soft, blurry background is an awesome look, but it can be extremely difficult to nail this kind of image.
Aside from the challenge of trying to keep you subject in the frame, especially the farther out you zoom. You also have to make sure your selected AF zone stays locked as it
moves through your viewfinder. Plus, you have so little room for error, because long lenses have a very shallow depth of field. In other words, it's easy to mess up.
