Hi ,

A momentous event happened yesterday. After a full 100 days of recovery from my rotator cuff surgery, I finally rode my bike again. 

It wasn't a long ride; just a few miles through the neighborhood and down the paved greenbelt trial, but those 36 minutes felt wonderful. I felt the gentle summer breeze on my face and moved through the open air faster than walking speed for the first time since April 29.

I still have a long way to go with my recovery. My arms were pretty tired after only six miles, so it will be a while before I have full strength again, but my world has just become a whole lot bigger again.

And, I've been shooting photos again. Last week, I made a video of one of our local bike races, and I dragged the tripod out into the garden to photograph wildflowers and try out the new Pixel Shift feature that's found on the X-T5 and X-H2. 

This mode allows the camera to shoot 20 separate frames, while using the IBIS to shift the sensor by one pixel during each capture. Then, you use FUJIFILM Pixel Shift Combiner software to combine all of the frames into a single, ultra high resolution DNG file with a resolution of 15,456 x 10,304 pixels.

I'll go more in depth with this topic at a later date, so stay tuned, because it's a pretty amazing feature!
