Rainy weather and a slight shoulder sprain has left me a little bit less active than I was earlier in the summer, but sometimes a little downtime isn't a bad thing, it helps clear the mind and prime you for whatever new things and ideas lay ahead.
In the meantime, I've been shooting more garden images with
Fujifilm's new XF70-300mm lens. I also managed to catch my neighbor's last softball game of the season, and so naturally, I brought along the X-T4 and 70-300, and made him his own baseball card of one of the
images I shot.
It's less "adventurey" than my usual fare, but shooting sports is good practice, no matter what kind, and besides, it's fun to do something nice for a friend like this.
Anyway, I just wanted to remind you of one of my favorite photography techniques, which is to
abbreviate your subjects.
You can watch my video tutorial on this and see how it can help you create much more powerful images. Even if you already know this, a quick refresher might inspire you to try something new.
I hope you're enjoying the backside of your summer. As always, thanks for your support and take care!
