It's been just over 5 months since I released my album Up Higher, and then summer happened here in Alaska, and I pretty much stopped doing music stuff for awhile. Instead, I spent then next few months riding bikes and enjoying the long days and great weather. 

 

However, now as we're heading back into the wetter, cooler, darker seasons, I've stated to pick up the guitar again. As it often happens, I'm finding motivation to start playing and making new music. 

 

Also, after a long hiatus, I'm back at work on my music blog, with a brand new post today. This one features IK Multimedia's amazing Group Buy sale, where you can buy one of their software titles or interfaces and get up to 25 software titles and music plugins and instruments for free. 

 

I've been using IK's products for 10 years now, and I think they're awesome. Every song on my album was created in part using their software plugins and virtual instruments, from bass, guitar and drum sounds, to synthesizer sounds to the final mixing and mastering process. 

 

Whether it's practicing and getting awesome sounds without disturbing the spouse/neighbors, writing and getting creative motivation or producing a finished song, I use IK gear and software, because it's affordable and it sounds great. And as it turns out, I went to school with their social media manager, although we don't remember each other from 30 years ago.
