Hi ,
One of my favorite things about photography these days is that I can get an extremely wide range of creative looks right inside the camera. This allows me to explore and experiment with a variety of styles when I'm there on location.
Instead of capturing the scene flat and processing later, I can utilize my camera settings and create a unique and very personal representation of the scene without having to wait until I get back to my computer.
With the different options available in today's cameras, I'm able to come up with a diverse and inspiring set of looks that continues to fuel my passion for photography and keeps me motivated when I'm out there looking for subject matter.
You have this magical creative power too.
Most modern cameras have a decent range of tools, settings and effects that you can use to vary the look of your images. In addition, every camera these days produces amazing looking JPEGs. Combine these two features and you have an immensely powerful set of options and an expansive creative palette at your fingertips.
Even if you're a strict RAW shooter, sometimes time limitations dictate a more immediate approach to your creativity. This kind of on-the-spot method can also help get you out of a rut. No matter what your style is, I encourage you try this approach and see what you come up with.
Have a great week and Happy Spring!
