Hi ,
I hope you're doing well and staying safe right now as we weather this uncertain and scary time. I'm continuing to plug away in my little home office, writing and shooting videos, and so I wanted to share my latest YouTube video tutorial and blog post.
Continuing on with what I wrote on my blog last week, I just posted a video called Staying Creative and Shooting Close to Home, where I share a few examples of things you can shoot to inspire some creativity while you're in self-isolation. This is a difficult time indeed, but as I had mentioned, finding time to
engage in your creative hobbies can help keep you grounded, or at least distracted from the news.
Also, If you're a Luminar user, you'll want to check out the new v.4.2 update, which includes bug fixes and a couple of new tools.
The new AI Augmented Sky tool lets you add objects into your skies, like clouds, moons, planes, planets, birds, aurora, fireworks, rainbows, etc..
Is it a big gimmicky? Totally. But it's pretty fun, and right now, we need all the fun we can get. I've been having fun with the tool, creating some sci-fi stye landscapes and adding interesting elements to my own imagery. (See below)
It's actually the kind of thing you could do with your kids. If you have children, bring them into the process and make fun or silly pictures with them on the computer. Photo and family time, all mixed together. Imagine that! The 4.2 updates also has improved AI Portrait tools. You can check out my recent Luminar post here and see what else I've created with the new sky tool.
Finally, I just made a special video just for my Patreon members, which I'll be posting soon. and I'm planning to do some group video Q&A sessions via Zoom with my Patreon peeps starting next week.
Anyway, be well, stay safe and take care!
