Hi ,
Sometimes it's easy to lose motivation. There are certainly weeks, and even months throughout the year when I leave the camera on the
shelf and don't take photos for a period of time.
Maybe I'm busy with other things or delving into different creative endeavors during a particularly time frame. Maybe, I'm just lacking creative inspiration. Maybe I'm just bored with my immediate surroudnings. I won't called it a "creative block," it's just that sometimes the drive just isn't there for whatever reason, and
that's ok.
Sooner or later it will comer using back in, and the inspiration will spill forth and I'll pick up right where I left off. I'm sure this happens to you. There are a million blog posts and videos out there that tell you how to get past this kind of block, (Here's my own version) but I say, eh... don't worry if you're not motivated to shoot photos every single week or month.
Creativity always lives within us, and whether it takes different outlets or takes a break, it's a necessary and vital part of our lives. It'll come back. After a few weeks without
shooting very much during the past month, I went on a three day trip in Prince William Sound last week and guess what? Without missing a beat, I shot a bunch of photos that I love.
So, if you're lacking the drive lately to go play with the camera, don't fret. The inspiration will return, and when it does, it'll feel like you never left off.
