Last week, I got an email from one of my readers who had just bought a Fujifilm X-H2. He was so excited, until one of his "purist" photography friends lectured him on the supposed disadvantages of mirrorless cameras, based
solely on the fact that an APS-C sensor has smaller pixels than a "full frame camera." 🙄
Suddenly, this person was second guessing his purchase, feeling as if Mr Purist Lecture Guy had totally rained on his parade.
Now, I won't even wade into the whole black hole
of sensor size and full frame vs. APS-C, because in the context of creating memorable photographs, it's completely and totally irrelevant.
I'll just tell you what I told him, which is that if you capture greats moment in great light, then nobody will care what sensor you used, or how big your pixels are... except for maybe Mr. Lecture Guy. Besides, that's a
rather personal issue, don't you think?
At any rate, I felt this was a perfect opportunity to share my Photography PSA video, which is a fun and
friendly reminder about what REALLY matters in photography and what you should focus on besides your pixels, or anyone else's, for that matter.
