Hi ,

Having gone eleven weeks with almost no shooting, I finally dipped my toe back into the proverbial pool and spent some much-needed fun time with the camera.

Since I can't ride yet, I've been volunteering at some of our local Anchorage bike races, and after cheering on friends at last week's events, I was inspired to make a video of the Friday Night "Rabbit Creek" road race. 

Using the X-T4, which I recently outfitted with a SmallRig cage and handle, I spent two hours capturing video clips of the race and created a fun adventure video of the event with original music. 

It felt really good to be back at it, but since I'm still in recovery, my arm was pretty tired the next day. And, since my guitar playing is very limited right now, the original music I made for the soundtrack is mostly synthesizers, with one very short part I played on my bass. 

So... it's not a tutorial or a super useful lesson, but it's me having fun with the camera after a very long break and making my friends look like heroes, which is a large part of what I've always done with photography. To me, that's a big step forward.

I promise I'll get back to making lesson videos soon, but for now, please enjoy this four and half minutes of fun, and try to imagine how important it was for me to make this as I begin to reawaken my creativity in this realm.
