Hi,

Here are a few bits of photography goodness to help keep you motivated as you head towards the weekend.

The first is a great piece about photographing in iconic locations. We all have our travel bucket lists, and we all love to capture the beautiful places on this earth.

That said, the increasing popularity of travel photography and Instagram means that some of the most awesome places have been shot over and over. We see mane similar photos of these locations, so this article helps you think about how to approach this.

I've also included some tips on how to photograph in different weather. Sometimes you find yourself in a great location in less than ideal light. These tips will help you come away with great images, no matter what conditions you face. This is a vital part of being a good photographer.

Next is a creative idea you can try if you have flashes and lighting gear. I tried this technique a few summers ago and had lots of fun!

And I've thrown in a link to some wonderful landscape photos by California photographer Michael Shainblum. Enjoy!

Don't forget, my July eBook sale ends on Monday! You still have time to save 35% with your exclusive discount code: JULY35. Click here to visit my online store.

Finally, if you live in or near Minneapolis, I'll be doing my presentation and "Pedal Palooza" photo bike ride and pedaling workshop next weekend through National Camera. I hope you can join me for one or both events! More info here.

I hope you have s great weekend!!

Take care,
-Dan
